Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Government of India, with a view to enhancing industrial cooperation, stimulate greater foreign investment inflows into India and having regard to the potentialities and mutual complementarities has considered necessary to have Country Specific Window for UK. 

In order to achieve the objective the window will generate Country Specific Data Bank as well as keep all material relating to industrial policies and procedures of the Government.  It will provide necessary facilitation and co-ordination and in selected cases, with the help of Investment Promotion Cell, provide expert services.  For this the window will be provided full information and support from International Cooperation and Secretariat for Industrial Assistance Divisions of this Department.  The window will also organise all activities considered essential for achieving the stated objectives such as seminars, meetings, exchange of information and visits and also establish close liaison with Embassies in India and abroad and Apex Industry Associations.
